How To Learn To Play An Instrument

If you're serious about learning to play an instrument here are a few tips that helped me . I would recommend if you are new to instruments that should pick a versatile one like the piano, keyboard or guitar. You can use them for a variety of different genres so you can play the music you're interested in.

1. Set a time to practice- you are more likely to remember to play if you do it at the same time every week or two weeks.

2. Get a teacher- this can be a big help when you are just starting because they can explain the techniques clearly and show you how to do them. However this is not necessary and many people have taught them through youtube videos or websites online. If you are not ready to fully commit to learning an instrument then I suggest that you teach yourself.

3. Buy the instrument you want to play- so that you can practice at home or whenever you feel like it .

4. Challenge yourself- get the sheet music for more complex songs and try them out, even if you don't get it first time practice makes perfect.

5. Play songs that you like- it might be easier for you to play if you already know the tune to a song and it will make you more interested in learning it.

6. Just start- if you want to play an instrument why not start today, delaying it over and over may mean that you never get around to learning it.

7. Be dedicated- it may seem like a lot of hard work now but it will pay off in the end and if you do a grade in an instrument it is something you can put on your CV.

8. Mess around with it- try creating your own little tune, it will help you to get familiar with the instrument and it can also be a lot of fun.

Learning to play an instrument is a lot of hard work and it takes dedicated to be good at it. Hopefully these tips will help you. I hope you enjoyed this  x.
